Tamara Jonoubeh Thurston, IBCLC
I'm an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a mother of two—I’ve been there. Every feeding journey is unique, and I’m here to provide the support and tools you need— no matter how you feed your baby. Let’s take it one step at a time, together.
My Story
My journey into lactation consulting began with my own experience as a mother of two. When my eldest son was born two months premature, our feeding journey was unexpected and anything but straightforward. Through it all, I experienced nearly every aspect of infant feeding—receiving donor milk, tube feeding, exclusively pumping, bottle feeding, and eventually breastfeeding. These experiences opened my eyes to the complexities of lactation and the immense need for skilled, compassionate support.

I completed my lactation education through the UC San Diego Lactation Consultant Program and clinical training with Healthy Horizons and the City of Berkeley WIC Program. I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) through the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies from Washington State University.

My goal is to empower families with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to feed their babies in a way that works best for them. Whether you’re breastfeeding, chestfeeding, or bottle feeding, I’m here to support you—one step at a time, together.
